The tension between the gently shaking aspens and tall austere mountains of Colorado provide the perfect nesting
space for a peaceful religious retreat and a youthful childcare center. Through the plan, the nature of the spaces becomes clear. The daycare is open and porous, with rooms and spaces denoted through level changes
in the floor. These steps begin to also act as shelving, seating and podiums for presentations. In the religious space, the language of the secondary walls can continue
to close off spaces with tall curtains, enforcing the inward-facing nature of the religious spaces.
